My mother and I enjoyed our Afternoon Tea very much. The Waldorf is lovely and the staff danced attendance on us and were charming.

Second time having afternoon tea at this venue, found there has been significant changes but not for the better.
Previously had more choices of different teas, and more sandwiches, but this time there were less options overall.
The staff were less attentive than previously, this time not being asked if we required more tea or sandwiches etc.
Really left us with the feeling there had been major cutbacks.

Made to feel very welcome. They took our coats, sat us down, and gave us a free taster, whilst we were browsing the different teas they served. Once the order was taken, they served us a glass of very good chilled champagne. Sandwiches were good, especially the coronation chicken, and the little cakes were very tasty. I would say that although the tea was worth the price I paid on the deal, I didn't think it was worth the price of £49, that you would normally pay. Not enough choice of fillings in sandwiches, especially for vegetarians and the bread was a little dry. I have had better afternoon teas in london, and was slightly disappointed. Maybe my expectations were too high, because of the name of the hotel. They didn't come round and offer more tea either. Not brilliant but not bad.
