The atmosphere and setting was wonderful. The staff were attentive and welcoming without being overbearing. The food (especially the coronation chicken sandwiches) was really nice and well-prepared. I also really enjoyed the Waldorf tea.

Our experience of Afternoon tea at the Waldorf was fantastic. The service was great & the staff were attentive. Tea was served hot & the sandwiches, scones & patisseries & champagne was delightful. I would definitely recommend the Waldorf.

I was disgusted with the Waldorf, I do afternoon tea or lunch in the West End at least twice a month. The room decoration wise needed freshening up crubby,, no flowers anywhere, the male staff the lining of their jackets were lower than the main fabric, you were shoulder to shoulder with others so no privacy, service left a lot to be desired, sandwich barely a scrapping in the middle and stale, when I asked for fresh tea I was left with a half full cup of cold left over tea had to ask them to take it away and bring a fresh one, initial cup was cracked and had to ask to have it changed. The scones were OK but you had to use the same knife backwards and forwards from jam to cream. awful, the whole experience.

Afternoon tea was a delight. The service was excellent and the Homage Suite very elegant. The tea and food were first class and we were particularly impressed by the china on which the food was served. We were made to feel welcome.

Booked the afternoon tea offer for a friends birthday. Once we found the restuarant in the hotel we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table. No one came to see us for at least 15 minutes when finally a waitress appeared and started pouring our champagne with no introduction. She then confirmed we wanted afternoon tea but didn't ask what tea type we wanted and one of our party had gone to the toilet. The food arrived and she explained the contents but no tea arrived. We then had to ask for it . Another friend joined us but no one came to ask if he wanted anything and the same when my friends daughter joined us also. After 30 minutes I had to go and find someone to ask for some more tea and an extra cup and this was brought to the table, but no attempt was made to clear the finished plates and stands away. I went to use the bathroom and on the way back tried to find someone for the bill. They took me to the restuarant reception area and the first bill was for 4 people and only 3 of us had booked in and had afternoon tea. To top it all 12.5% service charge was added on automatically and I wouldn't of minded paying it if the service had been as excellent as a hotel of this standard portrays but we were all extremely disappointed. Overall the food was ok , but the service was disappointing and I would not recommend it or use it again.

Not the experience I wanted. Food was standard, three finger sandwiches two scones and three pastry. Toilets needed a good clean, as did the tea timer. The waiter whilst very pleasant had a dirty tie and the spoon was too large to reach the bottom of the starter we were given as a complimentary. Thankfully I purchased on an offer, however even at the offer price I would say it was over priced! If looking for a classic London afternoon tea, pay more and go with one of the Higher rated hotels. Hotel very tired and dull
