Lovely afternoon tea in a gorgeous intimate dining room. Attentive service and probably the best scones I've eaten!

Intimate and cosy surroundings are complemented with a design that re-invents the traditional hotel bar whilst still retaining the character of a 19th Century quintessentially British townhouse. The Hyde offers an exclusive retreat away from the cut and thrust of central London.

Head chef Matt Kiernan serves up a menu of afternoon tea and small plates, designed to be shared by the table. The small but perfectly formed wine list showcases wines from many independent, small producing vineyards with a real emphasis on quality and provenance.

Relax in cosy and comfortable sofas in front of the fireplace, or take a ring side seat at the bar to watch the talented cocktail bartenders surprise and delight with their offering of delicious libations. Every part of the Hyde has been lovingly and painstakingly put together, including the drinks list with a unique and comprehensive selection of spirits from around the world.

A haven of elegance in upmarket West London, The Royal Park in Lancaster Gate is a 3-minute walk from Paddington Station.

The whole experience was very nice. The place is lovely with a great atmosphere, the old classic style gives a plus to the traditional afternoon tea. Not busy at all so we could chat comfortably and we were not rushed at any point.
The food was delicious and more than enough for two. I consider the cost just just right.
The girl attending us was lovely, helpful and friendly.
We had a great time :)

Very friendly staff who guided us to the hotel when we we lost our way and even came outside to meet us. Our afternoon tea was served in a cosy little room by very attentive staff. The finger sandwiches, cakes and scones ticked all the boxes, and we were served with a second pot of tea without having to ask. A lovely afternoon tea experience!

Lovely setting for dinner and great service, attentive yet relaxed. Nice menu. Fish was very overcooked but everything else was good and very reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.

The afternoon tea was really tasty with a large glass of champagne and certainly more food than we could accomodate. The scones were the best i have ever tasted. They were very attentive but werent pushy, we could have sat there all afternoon if we really wanted to. It was a shame it wasn't more Christmassy - the room was a little bland. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and i would book again.
