Customer reviews for Afternoon Tea at The Ritz
(((** 30 September 2016 by Ania Alzahr from London
Have dined at the Ritz few times in the past and the service was always of the highest standards hence naturally was expecting the same during our tea experience at their Palm Court. Unfortunately it was a miss. Service was poor and unprofessional with waiters interrupting us few times to have a chat once to discuss my husband's new phone or to ask about our nationalities just out of the blue. Not to mention one of them asked us to eat up as if we were heading towards the end of the whole thing although it's only been an hour to our tea. I've had afternoon teas at various places and sadly the one I was looking most forward to barely scratched the surface. All felt rushed and too crowded. I prefer more relaxed and friendly tea experience I've had recently in few Park Lane hotels. Sorry Palm Court but the lack of manners in your staff left a rather bitter taste in our mouths..

We had a lovely time and particularly enjoyed the wonderful quartet and beautiful singer. I found the apricot tart stodgy but otherwise the food was great .
