The food was nice but could have been a lot better. The pots of tea however were very nice, we tried the 1903 as recommended by the waitress and the white elixir which was delicious.

Excellent service by all the waiting staff, really went above and beyond their job role. Bit underwhelmed by the food though, scones were undercooked and the sandwiches lacked filling, although we were full as there was a lot of food so didn't feel the need to request any more

We had a wonderful afternoon tea, we had my step granddaughter with us and she loved it. The staff were lovely, the surroundings delightful, the piano was being played in the background!

Booked afternoon tea having never visited the Midland before and so my choices was based on previous reviews. I was not disappointed. The table was ready for us at the allocated time, the food was excellent and the service first class. The prices compared to London establishments was very reasonable and not very far behind in standard. I would suggest The Midland actually represents better value for money than some of the higher end establishments in London.
Our occasion was a birthday celebration and it was received very well. We would most certainly visit again and would definitely recommend to others.

The setting and staff were fabulous, favourite dishes were the savoury, even though I have not got a sweet tooth, the sweet dishes were very nice and beautifully presented, I loved the plain scones, jam and cream
