One of the most highly-acclaimed afternoon teas in London, The Lanesborough is a multiple-time winner of the UK Tea Council’s Award of Excellence. With piano players in the background, visitors can indulge in a quintessentially British tea, served in either the Venetian-style dining room, or the ‘Withdrawing Room’.

Enjoy a glass of the finest champagne with exquisite French pastries, and sumptuous scones with homemade jam and clotted cream. The Lanesborough afternoon tea menu includes a variety of finger sandwiches, from the classic coronation chicken, to the more exotic vegetarian choice of aubergine caviar and coriander. Gluten and dairy-free options are available.

A tea sommelier is at your beck and call to assist you in choosing from an exceptional selection of tea, from rooibos orange and cactus fig tea, to the 5-star hotel’s own signature blend.

The Lanesborough in Knightsbridge is only a stone’s throw away from both Buckingham Palace and Harrods, and a 1-minute walk from Hyde Park Corner Tube Station.

superb - we only lingered over the afternoon tea for 2 hours.
the only blemish to the experience was the mix-up over the bill and having to explain this to the waiter.

Greeted at hotel entrance by very friendly and helpful concierge. Everyone working in hotel welcoming and happy to be of help. Dining room very elegant. Service impeccable. Food was delicious and the selection of teas very extensive. However the cost of afternoon is hugely expensive, not just here to be fair but everywhere. A few sandwiches, scones and cake probably costs less to prepare than one of the starters on the dinner menu! Yes you can have refills but still it is grossly overpriced. I would recommend this but only once in a lifetime and for a very special occasion. Otherwise I would recommend finding a Michelin star restaurant offering a tasting luncheon menu - much better value!

Lovely afternoon. Food was fresh and plentiful. Enjoyed with a great selection of teas and accompanied by a glass of champagne.

Service friendly but not overly attentive room was not busy only a few larger tables.

What want eaten was beautifully packaged/boxed to take away

Cake selection was poor .It was lacking in French Patisseries, e.g. eclairs/small fruit tarts/choux pastry etc.
Otherwise ,it was enjoyable but lacked the "wow" factor which the ambience deserved . Whoever is responsible needs to be more imaginative .

It was a very relaxed atmosphere- no rushing and the food and service was wonderful.
The only thing I would say negative was that it felt quite cold in there but nothing that took away from the actual experience.

The Lanesborough is a particular favourite of mine. The staff are polite and friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The dining room is cool light and airy with a piano playing softly in the background. Afternoon tea is a delicious treat which if you have the appetite just keeps coming. An extravagant treat but well worth it.

Simple amazing. Everything from the hotel entrance, to the restaurant, to the rest rooms, are high class elegance. The staff were very attentive. I booked a table for afternoon tea for my brothers birthday. It's the best service we've ever received. From filling up our tea cups every 20 minutes to describing the sandwiches we were eating. A lovely little happy birthday song was also appreciated. The best champagne I've tasted by far. Will definitely be going back.
