Sandwich was excellent, scone was so so, cake was good.
Waiter in the restaurant was not good. (Service or receptionist out side of restaurant was excellent though.) They didn't ask me to keep my coat. Table setting was not perfect. (I didn't have my dish) They pored tea which was my friend ordered, not mine. Afternoon tea was great.

Fabulous afternoon tea. Not cheap, but a lovely setting - plenty of space around each table, so although there were plenty of people in the room you didn't feel cramped and you didn't have to listen to anyone else's conversation. Service was prompt and attentive but not overpowering and the food plentiful and delicious. A second round of sandwiches was brought without any prompting (we ate a few more) The scones were fresh and dainty, and the home-made jams delicious, plenty of cream. The choice of cakes was lovely and we requested a couple of extras (which was just greedy, really !) Went home very well fed (and we'd not had lunch beforehand - a good afternoon tea really is a meal in itself !)
Just lovely (and we are reasonable aficionados of this art-form.) One of the best.

Such a wonderful experience! The setting, food and staff were amazing, could not ask for more. The staff were helpful and attentive to the highest standard, especially to the birthday girl and my other friend's 5 month old son. Just 5 star. Truly magical in all senses.

The venue was lovely, not to big. The food was great and the service was mostly attentive.
Coffee was disappointing. I had hoped for espresso not cheap filtered coffee.
Also our high tea was for 3 and we got one of all the cakes which was hard to divide up. The set up for the sandwiches and scones was much easier to share.
All in all it was a lovely afternoon.

The service and environment were both wonderful. If you would like to enjoy traditional British afternoon tea, this is definitely the place with little tourists.
