    Lovely room to have afternoon tea. It had only a few tables, so nice and private.
    The table looked beautiful, and the sandwiches, cakes, and scones, were to die for. Loved the ladybird macaroon.
    My friends really enjoyed it.

    Overall my experience here was average. The building looks nice from outside. We were kept waiting at reception for our table for just under 10 mins and then shown up to a very small room with no atmosphere to have our afternoon tea. It didn't come out like other afternoon teas I've experienced all on the tiered structure. We had a plate of 6 fingers of sandwiches, and two v small cheese scones. They were all tasty but far from what you expect at an afternoon tea. The cakes and sweet scones were all average when they came out too. To be honest I booked this restaurant for the bottomless cocktails - which there were plenty of but they would have had a fraction of the alcohol content as a normal cocktail. Overall very disappointing.

    Lovely small hotel behind Harris's. Staff very attentive and the setting for our afternoon tea was a lovely library room. Good and tea was fantastic and the free flowing cocktails flowed. Wonderful experience

    Great experience. The food was amazing and the cocktails were also really good. Although it was busy our waiter (who was great) made sure we always had a drink and that we were happy.

    The room where they serve tea is quite small and we were the only ones there so it was lovely. It's a beautiful room, traditionally decorated. The sandwiches were tasty and they served warm mini cheese scones which were quite spicy and delicious. The waiter did bring us a second serving of the savouries. The cakes were lovely too, one was a little macaroon which looked like a clock. Everything was mini sized which meant we didn't come away feeling completely stuffed. Unlimited Bellinis or cosmopolitans were included in the offer and we opted for the Bellinis and although we're not massive drinkers so it didn't matter, I think they had been watered down with soda which is a bit naughty! As we were the only ones there, the service was fine and the waiter didn't loiter around. It was a very nice way to spend a very wet afternoon with a friend.

    This was the worse afternoon tea experience I have ever had. ;
    Positives:
    :Friendly receptionist,
    :nice room.

    Negatives:
    :Very small portions and very uninteresting selection of sandwiches and cakes - extra sandwiches were provided when requested. The cakes were the size of a petit four not afternoon tea size. Asked for more cakes and were given one macaron each and told that extra cakes and scones are only supplied at an extra cost ;
    :inattentive waiting staff - most the time they were nowhere to be seen;
    :very weak cocktails;
    :guest on next table speaking very loudly on telephone for a very long time. Would have expected the hotel to have a policy that phones not allowed to be used in restaurant.

    Will most definitely not be back.
