The staff were really lovely right from the start. The food was really tasty and the service just impeccable. They offered more, however we were so full there was just no room.

Only have 2 gripes. 1. The boutique tearooms in the images looked amazing and was one of the reasons I chose this venue for a birthday treat, for the interior style and atmosphere. However the room we got put in was 1970's peach bland! No view, artwork or real atmosphere, so a bit disappointing from that respect. 2. The (room temperature) champagne was £17.00 per glass! I almost had a heart attack. Left a bit of a sour taste (no pun intended).

    An absolutely perfect afternnon tea.

It was ok. Served in a very small room with around 6 tables so very little ambience and certainly not the grand event of the larger hotels. Staff were very pleasant but absent for long periods when we sat entirely alone.

The Capital is an top venue for afternoon tea. The food was plentiful and excellent quality. A superb location just behind Harrods.
