The capital is a beautiful hotel and in a great location. It was our friends 60th birthday so the waiters were very happy to take photographs for us. The hotel also gave our friend a slice of cake on a plate decorated with chocolate and lit a candle on it. We would definitely recommend the afternoon tea to our friends.

Excellent service! Was expecting a bit more salty pastries, the amount of sweets was a tad too much.

I loved every bit of my experience here. I had arrived late because I got lost on the Tube, but when I called the hotel to let them know, there were no problems at all! When seated, everyone was so nice, and I just enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the tea very much. It was a supremely wonderful and calming experience, even for a single traveler, or perhaps because I was one.

Very pleasant and intimate room for afternoon tea, I was slightly disappointed that my dairy intolerance was not more imaginatively catered for with the cake and scone selection, it looked as if someone had just nipped to the supermarket rather than putting in any effort ??But my mothers cake selection looked wonderful.

The afternoon tea at the capital was a great experience! It is a lovely place with amazing food and drinks. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the people very nice. It's really worth the price and we would definitely come again!

The experience was fabulous! Delicious finger sandwiches, scones, and other sweets, and lovely teas. Excellent drinks and service as well in a beautiful, intimate tea room. Will definitely be back!

The Room was very pretty, the tea was good. The staff were friendly enough- but there was long waits between the sandwiches and the pastry and we had to wave them over each time we wanted something. The food was pretty average (sandwiches, cakes, scone0 and the macaroon was not very nice at all- crunchy and not chewy and lovely as it should have been it was also stuck to the plate with plain cream cheese for some odd reason. It was not as as nice as some of the other Afternoon Teas I have had, but it was good, low price for the area of London it is located in.
