The food was very good but the afternoon tea room was not cooled and given it was more than 30 degrees celius in London we asked to get moved to the bar area. The staff were great and accomodated us but it was hardly an afternoon tea atmosphere.

Service was excellent and the food delicious. It was the hottest day of the year and unfortunately no air conditioning but overall the experience was lovely.

It was a really nice afternoon tea. I'd been before but my friends hadn't.
The restaurant was nicely decorated and laid out but small.
    Negatives
But despite there only being two other tables occupied when we arrived, we were put at one right by the entrance which meant that everyone had to come past us and we were in full view of the bar. We were handed the tea menu to choose from on arrival but were not offered the cocktail/ champagne option. The sandwiches had clearly been prepared in advance as the bread was a little dry on the sides. The tinny music was off-putting.
    Positives
All of the food was generally nice and the tea was good. We were offered hot water, to refresh the tea, without having to ask. The non-sandwiches were lovely! The scones were great and warm. The service was good.

    Personal Touch - very nice

    - service was rather slow - we had to ask for more hot water and extra sandwiches
    - we did not get our scones until the end of the tea - after the pastries
    - the crumpet had not been toasted at all
    - the tea was not real looseleaf tea - just tea bags
    - waiters were very pleasant though

For the price, this afternoon tea for fine. It's certainly not the best we've had but the service was impeccable and the little dining room intimate and nicely decorated. It's also very well situated just around the corner from Harrods.

A really lovely afternoon tea, warm & welcoming staff. Service a little slow but they more than made up for that with their attentiveness once they were free.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon tea. Everything was perfect. The wait staff was very polite and attended to our every need and request. The finger sandwiches were delicious. The sweets were our favourite dishes.
