Derived from the Chinese for ‘living room’, Ting is a pristine lounge setting for Afternoon Tea at Shangri-La Hotel. This spotless dining room is found on the 35th-floor of the Shard, offering truly unparalleled views of London and beyond.

Crafting both English and Asian-inspired stands, the Ting menu offers an elegant array of treats which reinvent the classic afternoon tea. Sample freshly-cut sandwiches, decadent pastries and Earl Grey scones from the English selection, or oriental-flavoured sweet treats and freshly-steamed dumplings from the Asian menu.

Floor-to-ceiling glass means guests can experience every-angle views of London while enjoying the Shangri-La afternoon tea. A range of classic cocktail mixes is mixed at the bar, and thirst-quenching non-alcoholic concoctions include the Asian fruit punch, and basil & tea.

One of London’s most sought-after pastimes in London, afternoon tea at The Shard is found just 2 minutes’ walk from London Bridge Station.

If you want afternoon tea with stunning views then this is a great place.

However, afternoon tea itself (the classic as opposed to the Japanese) is much better at places like Harrods and the Dorchester. The service is good, but dealt with about 4 different people and sometimes it felt like there was a disconnect in the communication between them all. Also rather than bringing you a fresh pot of tea their first port of call was just to top the teapot up with fresh water.

A place where you're wowed by the views but not so much the food.

I enjoyed my experience of having afternoon tea at the Ting Restaurant. The only negatives were that the female member of staff in a grey jacket made a comment as I sat down ,because I was on my own, that I was having a very extravagant treat for myself!.
There were two choices of tea, not given enough time to decide which to have. Two scones were served on the second layer, one could have been a fruit scone.
The dress code I thought was smart casual, some were dressed very casual.(jeans)
The tea given was never hot enough.

Unbeatable views; first class service; superb staff and lovely afternoon tea! What more can you ask for, for a special birthday treat?

Outstanding food and service. I'd recommend going for one of the classic teas and one of the Asian. Both have fantastic savouries and deserts.

You didn't confirm the booking to us and you had it on a special offer so we ended up booking direct and paying full price but it was an amazing place

The Afternoon Tea was well presented and the choice of savoury lens was excellent. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The view from 35th floor was very interesting giving a different view of London..Next time when booking will ask for a table overlooking the river..
