Derived from the Chinese for ‘living room’, Ting is a pristine lounge setting for Afternoon Tea at Shangri-La Hotel. This spotless dining room is found on the 35th-floor of the Shard, offering truly unparalleled views of London and beyond.

Crafting both English and Asian-inspired stands, the Ting menu offers an elegant array of treats which reinvent the classic afternoon tea. Sample freshly-cut sandwiches, decadent pastries and Earl Grey scones from the English selection, or oriental-flavoured sweet treats and freshly-steamed dumplings from the Asian menu.

Floor-to-ceiling glass means guests can experience every-angle views of London while enjoying the Shangri-La afternoon tea. A range of classic cocktail mixes is mixed at the bar, and thirst-quenching non-alcoholic concoctions include the Asian fruit punch, and basil & tea.

One of London’s most sought-after pastimes in London, afternoon tea at The Shard is found just 2 minutes’ walk from London Bridge Station.

The restaurant offers amazing views across London which makes it a very special experience. We had afternoon tea both the Japanese and Classic English this provided an interesting fusion of tastes which we enjoyed andthe restaurant offered to bring more of your favourites if wished. Unfortunately the only downside was the quality of the service , although all staff were very pleasant and well meaning it did lack some coordination of our requests leading to some very long delays in response. Overall a pleasant afternoon.

It was a good experience and was a brilliant setting
The view was amazing. Unfortunately we had a couple of problems one was that
We asked for our tea 4 times before it arrived 40 mins later
Therefore we were unable to try other teas as we were running out of time to catch our train home
Staff were very friendly and polite

I have had quite a few afternoon teas in London (Ritz, Savoy, Claridges), and The Ting can hold its head up high. The staff were friendly and down to earth, although I had to keep asking for more tea whereas in other restaurants this was always offered before it became necessary to ask. The sandwiches were a little fussy and the cakes very sweet but the scones were to die for. Overall a pleasant experience. Contemporary afternoon tea in contemporary surrounding. A service charge of 12.5% rather bumped up the price

Really excellent however a couple of minor points. Some of the staff were less than attentive all though most were great. The magician was a very cool touch.
The sweets were not the best. Cannot remember a time when I didn't ask for more or even left loads on the plate. All the other food was very good.

Amazing location had a window table and the views were stunning. Food was lovely both festive and Japanese afternoon tea. The experience was let down by the service, on arrival the reception person was unhelpful and unfriendly and our table wasn't ready, the staff attending to the tables were helpful and polite but it took three times of asking for our tea to be refreshed and the sandwiches took far too long to arrive.

    Disappointed with our seating.

We prebooked but still had no view of the river.
