The Afternoon Tea at Lancaster London offers classic British treats in Paddington. With irresistible food and a sophisticated setting, guests are treated to tea, sandwiches and scones, followed by sweet bites from the pastry chef.

The Lancaster afternoon tea menu features smoked salmon sandwiches, coronation chicken tartlets and egg and wild cress choux buns. Guests are also offered plum and raisin scones with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream, topped off by sweet pastries and cakes including pistachio macaron and apple and honey cupcake. This is of course all accompanied by a choice of fine teas.

Guests can also retire to the well-stocked lounge bar serving a broad choice of wines and light snacks. Plush plum seating and dark woods continue the theme of subtle sophistication that is on display throughout the hotel.

With verdant views from the 1st floor, The Lancaster London Hotel is just a 1-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Tube Station.

halloween theme music was very loud and all those decoration was a bit odd. (pumpkins and skulls object were from Pound shop which makes the atmosphere and experience less glam)
Sandwiches and scones werr nice but sweets are not so much, everything tasted too much of sugar, especially the spider lollipop was just too much ganache inside and exploded in a horrible way. Eclair had very nice spooky decoration, however cream was granular and white choc finger is too big. Cupcakes are probably made with oil that I don't like. Chocolate mousse tasted nice. Very negative towards sweet section but Scones were lovely and warm, I couldn't tell which one was the pumpkin and plain but all nice, as well as Sandwiches were also lovely.
Tea was served in a glass teapot with a teabag, not loose tea, and no teabag tray so I had to keep a teabag in a pot for a long while, not good at all.
Staff were very friendly and nice happy people, they come around to the table very often, however, when we ask another tea, scones, bill, etc.. there was a long waiting time. Staff seems not communicating well about guests so we had asked the same questions many times from a different staff.
I wouldn't pay £35 for that to be honest, rather spend ten pounds more and go somewhere else, but if you are looking for something casual, no dress code, absolute kids friendly, a little bit better than a cream tea experience, then this is the right place.

The art afternoon tea at the Lancaster was great. The theme was Halloween and the room was decorated appropriately. The staff were excellent and complemented the theme with stories and costume. We thoroughly enjoyed the vast choice of teas and would recommend the Lancaster highly. The scones, sandwiches and pastry were delicious and presented in a very creative way.

The Halloween ARTea was really fun and tasted delicious. I'd highly recommend it. The staff were friendly and made sure we had plenty of tea and food. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great, especially the savoury bits. My friend had the vegetarian selection which was as varied and exciting as the standard selection. I'd definitely re-visit for another occasion.

Truly lovely experience- without exception every member of staff we spoke to was exceptionally friendly and helpful; we were offered replenishments and were allowed to change tea after we'd finished the pot which is a huge tick for me; we weren't rushed or ignored towards the end to get us out quicker (we actually stayed for 3 1/2 hours because we were having such a great time); and the food was just a delight. All this for £26.50! I would put Lancaster way up there with the best.

From the welcome at the door on arrival, nothing was too much trouble for the efficient and friendly staff. The quiet ambience was conducive to a relaxed and most enjoyable Afternoon Tea, made all the more special by the thoughtful, innovative...and effective... presentation and menu, reflecting upcoming Halloween. An excellent experience, all staff without exception are to be commended; the Afternoon Tea is highly recommended.

From the moment we stepped in, we felt like it was a very welcoming and special experience. Our server was a lovely, friendly french man who seated us at a brilliantly Halloween esque table!
We had booked the Halloween ARTea and we were extremely impressed. The presentation of the food was very theatrical all with dry ice to create the misty, eerie surprise! Lovely selection of savouries and expceptionally thought out sweets! The tea selection was fab too! We also chose a champagne to accompany our afternoon tea. For a fun, dramatic afternoon tea this was just what we wanted. Nothing was too much for the staff who offered us seconds but we were just too stuffed! Definitely reccomend this quirky, theatrical and tasty Halloween treat!

I have had afternoon tea at this venue before and it was a very good experience. This second visit was everything and more once again. The food was exceptional and our waiter (Rodriguez) went over and above our expectations. It was my friend's birthday and he did everything he could to ensure that she had a good experience.
