Within the elegant Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel, exquisite afternoon teas take place in four individual charming rooms - the Zodiac, Cocktail Bar, Oak Hall and Library in a classical country estate surrounding.

The Oak Hall & Cocktail Bar menu perfectly complements its timeless British regal setting. The classic Hanbury Manor afternoon tea is a speciality, offering finely cut sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a selection of delicate French pastries. An extensive selection of teas are a perfect accompaniment, as is a glass of the finest champagne.

The previous office of the convent school Headmistress, the roaring open log fire and wood panelled walls in Oak Hall at Hanbury Manor create an atmosphere of refinement. A comprehensive drinks menu is also available at Oak Hall & Cocktail Bar, perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail or post-dinner nightcap.

In the rolling Hertfordshire countryside, the Oak Hall & Cocktail Bar at the Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel offers the very best in traditional British dining and elegance.

I treated my mum to Afternoon tea which was fabulous. We both enjoyed everything about it. Food was good, service was fab and the atmosphere was just what we wanted to get us in the Christmas mood! However, when booking the afternoon tea I was lead to believe it would be £60 for the traditional afternoon tea for two. The bill came to £101. On arrival we were handed the menu to choose which package we wanted and to my surprise there was no a package for £30 a head to be seen. As this was a birthday treat and my mum enjoyed it so much I did not want to dampen the mood at the time and payed the bill. However this is something you should be aware of. By all means we had a wonderful experience and we will be doing it again but next time I will not be fooled by the online prices!

Very nice staff and great location. Live music was a little loud for those close to the singer/speakers. Silly point but the chamomile tea ordered contained some large dried ingredients that clogged the teapot and made pouring impossible.

We were taken to our table, staff were very friendly and polite. There were a number of teas to select from, you could also ask for coffee if you preferred. We had traditional afternoon tea which had a good variety of finger sandwiches and tiny weenie rolls, 4 scones and more sweet treats including a macaron, small lemon meringue, chocolate brownie and some other pastries. I would have preferred more sandwiches over some of the sweets. It was nice to have a live singer, she was singing in each of the tea rooms and the reason why I choose to go on a Sunday. We had a gift card to use which I mentioned at the time of booking. We were asked for this when we gave our order and told it would cover the cost of our afternoon tea. It was nice to know that there'd be no extra to pay and that when we'd finished we'd be free to get up and leave. Staff were attentive and offered us more tea and coffee several times. This was a great relaxing experience and definitely a nice thing to do.

Service was good and lovely surroundings but I didn't think it was good value for what you got. Most places you would get sandwiches replenished but here you didn't and there was not very many. Great you got 2 scones though

Beautiful place in a wonderful setting. Perfect for mum in law's 70th birthday treat. Lovely sandwiches and we were able to swap ones we didn't like. Two delicious warm scones each and a nice selection of cakes.

Beautiful setting, comfortable chairs, food was amazing. Service was perfect. Staff very friendly and attentive. Had a perect afternoon. We wasn't rushed, left when we were ready. All in all it was brilliant. Definitely going to book again. Thank you to all the lovely staff in the oak room.

Would prefer to be in Oak Hall.

Lovely venue and beautiful room overlooking grounds and golf course where the afternoon tea was served. As the afternoon tea was a surprise gift for a friend's 85th birthday it was unfortunate that we were all handed menus showing prices for the options of Traditional tea or + champagne which was embarrassing. Also feel that 12.5% service charge is excessive.
