Styled to resemble a French patisserie, BB Bakery Covent Garden offers a glorious selection of baked goods. Swathes of pewter leather and climbing plants bring a touch of magic to this quaint central London tea room.

Served in mismatched, vintage bone china, afternoon teas at BB Bakery are the café’s most prized offering. Fresh finger sandwiches and scones are served alongside a range of beautiful, hand-crafted pastries and cakes. Liquid accompaniments include fine fragrant teas from Benjamin & Barton and freshly squeezed orange juice, or flutes of chilled champagne.

Savoury goods with a continental twist are offered at BB Bakery in London. Enjoy an eclectic mix of flavoured quiches, freshly-fired pizza with salad, or a classic croque monsieur. Head to the colourful cake counter for a range of macarons, cookies, meringues and cakes, all perfectly complemented by loose leaf teas or rich coffees.

With goods baked daily by a fleet of French pastry chefs, BB Bakery in Covent Garden offers some of the most artful cakes and desserts in London. Covent Garden & Leicester Square tube stations are both 5 minutes’ walk away.

We came as a party of 15 for a hen.. we had an amazing time! The food was delicious (catered for veggies too) and a great selection of drinks too. The bride to be was also given a present. Thanks for a great time!

Fabulous! We had a lovely time. The staff were great, the food was delicious - I especially enjoyed the tiny warm quiches and croissants. We had a range of teas and all were good - and fresh pots of our chosen teas were brought to the table without us having to request more. Excellent, unobtrusive service. Two more things - I had stupidly forgotten to say my daughter-in-law was a vegetarian but that was no trouble, also my niece was able to pop in and join us towards the end of our visit and she was brought a chair and offered a cup - one of the staff even moved an adjoining table over to give us more room. Impressive. We were welcome to stay as long as we liked but sadly we had to tear ourselves away as we had theatre tickets ... cannot recommend this restaurant more warmly!??

I booked the BB Bakery as a gift for my daughter's birthday. I had been there previously with a friend for my birthday and loved it.
The food was absolutely delicious with very imaginative savoury choices and each item was delicate and beautifully presented. The staff were all attentive and the service was excellent. My daughter and I both enjoyed our afternoon and even had a few cakes to take home with us.

Overall great quality, but far far too much food - was such a waste and it felt trying to justify the cost by just heaping so much on.
Noticeable all around us that people were just completely overwhelmed by the amount of food - it kind of ruins the experience. It would have been nice to have more savoury sandwich options - it was very cake heavy, only one finger sandwich.

You also get no choice of what you have in your afternoon tea, which is a shame, as I felt had I been able to choose from a selection, we would have made more of it.

It was also very noticeable that they wanted to keep as many people in the cafe as possible as there was an overwhelming reluctance to clean the table.

The scone at the end was clearly heated up in the microwave (sound of microwave confirmed this!).

Not the great experience I had hoped for.

We had afternoon tea and chose the vegetarian option, which came with an excellent selection of savoury snacks. Much better than the normal selection of finger sandwiches which most places offer. The cake selection was also good with a warm scone with jam and cream to top it off. Service was efficient and friendly and the bright little venue made a nice change from the more formal hotel lounges that serve afternoon tea.

Lovely setting and convenient location. The savouries were delicious. I would love to see an option with more savouries and less sweets...perhaps something for those of us who like the ritual of afternoon tea, but we don't have quite the same sweet tooth.
The seats felt a bit too close together and cramped. I had to sort of slide past the table next to us, and I was fearful of knocking over their plates and cups. It would have a better ambiance with, say, one fewer table on the ground floor and spread out just a bit more

I found everything very good! very abundant
both the sweet food that the salty food!
I did not like scones (but maybe because I've eaten at the end when I had finished everything else and I was sated).
Also very good tea offered although personally I would prefer a wider choice.
    Nevertheless really, all good !!!

We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea, it was perfect!

Very lovely busy atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was absolutely amazing!!! It was a steep price for a Sunday afternoon tea, but the very delicious treats and the location in the middle of Covent Garden with lots of other things to do made up for it.
Fantastic afternoon, I wish it wasn't so far away so i could go more often!
