A contemporary Victoria destination for European cuisine, About Thyme in London displays strong Spanish influence in a continental menu. The cellar is packed with a diverse collection of world wines, and the open-fronted diner’s fiery tones reflect the About Thyme chefs’ passion.
The varied About Thyme menu offers beetroot and tequila cured gravadlax, baked snails with pernod and brandy, and Galician octopus. Wild mushroom risotto, braised lamb shank and fillet of sea bass are among more traditional choices.
Italian amaretto ice cream, almond tart and espresso and Baileys crème brûlée are among the indulgent desserts at About Thyme. Light meal choices available at lunchtime and early evenings include stuffed piquillo peppers, sautéed tiger prawns and Serrano ham with bruschetta.
A huge selection of Spanish wines leads an eclectic list, also featuring the best from Chile and Australia’s vineyards. About Thyme restaurant is a 4-minute walk from London Victoria Train Station, on Wilton Road.

We have been to this restaurant many times. And, as always, the food and service were superb. We are literally welcomed there with open arms. And it is quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation with friends.

Only had one course before going to the movies, but thought that the food was of a high standard, the service was very competent and friendly and the price was right. Will go back for more

Had lunch 26042014 with 2 friends. I close stuffed peppers to start, followed by risotto. Sadly no room for a delicious pudding! The food was excellent as always, this is my 6th visit & it never disappoints. The staff are friendly & professional & to great to see a restaurant so well used by locals, may of them Spanish. Another veggie choice would be great.

The food was well cooked and well presented. My duck confit was well flavoured with an intense sauce that did not overwhelm the duck or spinach. My friend's sea bass was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our puddings were also good, my pear in red wine was a refreshing end to the meal. I would have like more choice in the wines by the glass but what was available was fine in itself.

First time here, booked as close to Apollo. Lovely welcome, restaurant warm and inviting after the downpour outside. Great choice of food, attentive but unobtrusive service. Highly recommended.
