We met a friend at your place on Tuesday, on her recommendation, and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience. Loved the food and atmosphere.

A contemporary Victoria destination for European cuisine, About Thyme in London displays strong Spanish influence in a continental menu. The cellar is packed with a diverse collection of world wines, and the open-fronted diner’s fiery tones reflect the About Thyme chefs’ passion.

The varied About Thyme menu offers beetroot and tequila cured gravadlax, baked snails with pernod and brandy, and Galician octopus. Wild mushroom risotto, braised lamb shank and fillet of sea bass are among more traditional choices.

Italian amaretto ice cream, almond tart and espresso and Baileys crème brûlée are among the indulgent desserts at About Thyme. Light meal choices available at lunchtime and early evenings include stuffed piquillo peppers, sautéed tiger prawns and Serrano ham with bruschetta.

A huge selection of Spanish wines leads an eclectic list, also featuring the best from Chile and Australia’s vineyards. About Thyme restaurant is a 4-minute walk from London Victoria Train Station, on Wilton Road.

We had a really good evening. The service was friendly and efficient, the food delicious and the wine suggestions were spot on. The Barbary Duck was absolutely wonderful as was the steak and baked fish ordered by the others.

Excellent choice for a special meal. We asked on the booking for a quiet table and we were given a lovely table upstairs. There was a great menu with a catering for a range of tastes and the food was well presented and the flavours delicate. We were a party of four and we all felt the food was some of the best we have tasted. Service was pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive although we would have preferred the wine and water to be left on the table. We chose this restaurant from Trip Advisor and were not disappointed in any way.

Excellent, friendly staff, not over complicated. Food does the talking in this place. No hidden sneaky extras. Very good lamb shank.

We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and had a lovely time. The waiters were very patient and kind (especially to my young niece) despite the noisy hen party near us, they managed to also be very attentive. The food was delicious from the Spanish tapas to start - excellent octopus- to the main courses. I highly recommend the duck. The staff even brought my daughter a creme brulee with a candle in it as she is gluten free!
