Step back in time to an evening of prohibition-esque cocktails in the seductive speakeasy-styled 65 & King, located in the upmarket West London borough of Bayswater. Drink and dine under the antique tin ceiling in a space filled with bespoke neon signs, with cocktails served in vintage glassware that give a nod to 1920s America.

Serving up American fayre with a contemporary twist, the 65 & King menu offers a great selection of meaty dishes. Tuck into the the pulled pork sandwich, or the bourbon-infused BBQ ribs with a side of cranberry coleslaw. Whole fresh lobster is served with a drenching of garlic butter, while international-inspired starters include cheese with wild mushrooms and truffle oil.

An extensive cocktail menu includes a classic selection from yesteryear combined with some 65 & King original concoctions, such as the cleansing spiced cranberry, infused with cinnamon syrup and orange bitters.

Relaxed and theatrical dining in a sultry environment, 65 & King in London sits 9 minutes’ walk from Royal Oak Tube Station.

The food was fairly bland overall, I had the soft shell crab sandwich but it didn't have much sauce and slightly cold. The chicken wings however were good it was like grilled BBQ with large portion. Staff was not very friendly, often got blank faces when asking for recommendations or had to repeat things several times.

Fantastic food and great service from lovely, friendly staff. Best Bloody Mary’s in London! Would highly recommend 65 & King.

    Very good service.
The food was good, I ordered a Surf and Turf, however my stake was very small and well done - I asked for a medium rare; the lobster was very tender and delicious.
I would come back, especially for their cocktails, not sure I will go back for food.

I'm 56 years old, which doesn't make me an old man. Still I, and the people in my company, were terribly annoyed by the loud music in the restaurant. Twice we asked the staff to turn it down, but each time someone else turned it up again. I don't see the point in having to shout during the meal, but this was the case at 65 & King. Nobody was able to have a normal conversation. It seemed to me that playing this loud was more for the sake of the staff "having a fun time". To me as a customer it was intolerable.

Been there ten times, never let me down. Filet steak & garlic butter are without any competition. Incredible value, very good wines & highly professional and kind staff. Highly recommended.

I called to let the restaurant know we were going to be a little late for the booking, was told that this was no problem, very friendly staff, bartender came to greet me and take my drink order whilst the server was busy taking another order. Food came out quickly and was great! eggs cooked perfectly (florentine and scrambled) pancakes were light, there was a good portion of syrup (on the side) and the accompanying fruit was really fresh. Presentation was also really nice. Loved the interior of the bar, the place looked nice and clean and had a laid back atmosphere. Staff said goodbye when we left, We will definitely be back in the evening to have cocktails!
