With a prime spot overlooking the Covent Garden Piazza, diners at 21 Covent Garden can enjoy the street theatre and infectious atmosphere from the comfort of the fully-heated, elevated terrace. Contemporary Italian cuisine packs the trusty menu, while the trendy Print Room features weekly headline DJs and serves cooling cocktails from the ultra-modern bar.
Succulent, flaky sea bass cooked in a paper bag with baby leeks, garlic and rosemary leads the 21 Covent Garden menu, together with a melting rib eye steak served with truffle butter. Wild boar ravioloni and fresh, seasonal market soups head the starters, while a seafood linguine and stone-baked pizzas dominate the more traditional dishes.
Buried within the belly of 21 Covent Garden, a rustic, vaulted restaurant offers a more intimate ambience, showcasing brick-clad walls and chunky stone floors. The bar is packed with block colours and modish furnishings, with quirky bulb lighting and a glitter ball adding a dose of energy to the trendy space.
A 5-minute walk away from the glittering West End, 21 Covent Garden in London is just a 6-minute walk to Leicester Square Tube Station.

Very nice cocktails served at the restaurant and happy hour is 5-8pm. Pizza are big enough to share between two and the chocolate mousse pudding is lovely as well as the cookie sandwhich.

21 Covent Garden is in a prime location but the entrance to the restaurant is not adequately signposted and involes descending stairs from what appears to be a downmarket kitchen area. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and the ambience of the underground restaurant is very nice (how I wish we'd been seated by that superb fish tank). The food, however, was variable. The starters were good, superb risotto in my case but the main dishes were at best 'adequate'. I had the tricolour pizza which was tasteless (sorry guys, I've eaten pizza all over Italy and the world and this was less tasty than a typical Dominos effort!) and the Cokes we ordered were warm as if straight out of a plastic bottle with some ice dumped in. We enjoyed the visit but for what we got, other than the location, it was overpriced.

Excellent food and service. All courses were well presented, interesting and delicious. We had the pre-theatre 3 course meal which was great value, especially as it included a glass of wine. Will be back

Short menu but high quality. Good value for money and the idea of an option of a smaller portion of dessert with coffee is great
