I took my friend from Japan here, and she really loved it. It was her first afternoon tea experience. Great service and yummy food.

Staff were very good and polite but the dining room lacked atmosphere, there was a limited selection of teas to choose from and food was uninspiring.

When we arrived at the restaurant, they couldnt find our reservation!. With this in mind, they had no details of our booking of special requiremnts etc, when i showed them the confirmation, we were seated in the corner, which we found very gloomy and not much light. When we were given the menu list, i explained that we had special requirements. When the sandwiches came up, the turkey looked like the cheap quality and because we stated no mustard, but maybe some cucumber this was not done plain turkey sandwich, along with egg mayo, Salmon & Roasted Veg. The tea was with T-bags where other afternoon tea we had tea leaves. notonce did we get to ask if we wanted fresh tea. or even see how the food was. The cakes were good, I definetaly would not come back to this place again and if anyone would ask me, i will be honest of my experience, Its was brthday treat and i thought it was complete let down.
