Lovely restaurant located in a very stylish hotel. The restaurant staff were very attentive to my party's Afternoon Tea requests and were very diligent in looking after us. Would dine here again and would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone.

I booked afternoon tea here for myself and 3 friends. we were a little early so had a seat in the bar, which was a lovely room with wood panelling. we took tea in the restaurant. The staff were great and the place had a lovely relaxing ambience. we had a good choice of teas, a range of sandwiches followed by scones (some of the best I have tasted and still warm) and a selection of cakes/pastries, including cookies, macaroons, tiramisu, cheesecake and marshmallows, all beautifully presented.
The location was perfect for the Albert Hall, afternoon tea is not advertised outside, and its quite a subtle entrance to the hotel and bistro. The other benefit for us was that they start at 1pm, so was great for before our matinee performance.
Would defiantly re-visit in the future and perhaps try dinner here - or if feeling extravagant even stay in the hotel.
Compared to some afternoon teas in London the cost was ok at £25 per head, but please note they automatically add on 12.5% service charge. I would say its worth it/ A lovely building, good relaxed atmosphere and attentive friendly staff/

We had afternoon tea booked here in the vintage afternoon tea area but when we arrived the Maitre D'hote asked for our booking paperwork as he said a lot of bookings made indirectly had not been processed by them and consequently they were fully booked and did not have room for people. I had the paperwork and luckily they were able to seat us in the lounge at a table on our own just to make you aware.
The afternoon tea was super and very good service but it was not quite what I booked for my nieces birthday as we were not accommodated in the restaurant.
The only other thing was that the ladies toilets smelt horrendous like a blocked drain and I had to ask for hand towels again not quite what you would expect from this level of hotel.

We had set menu, choice was great, service was entertaining - very amusing waiter who struggled to understand us but was charming. I had soup which lacked flavour but was fine, my husband loved the onion salad. My main course plaice was really good, interesting combination with mussels and courgettes. Best part of meal was the dessert, I have a very sweet tooth and the panacotta was delicious

Afternoon tea was over priced and delivered with poor service.
Very cosy hotel bar on the plus side!

The service was very friendly, the hotel is beautifully decorated in late Victorian style, plus the location is wonderful.

The restaurant is intimate and beautiful. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the food was delicious! My only criticism is that there was really only one option for vegetarians and it is always a shame not to be able to choose something like everyone else and weigh up the options! If the main had contained goats cheese I would have been stumped as I hate goats cheese. But they did serve me the veg starter which contained goats cheese without it upon request! Absolutely lovely evening and I would definitely go again when I can afford it - was a little expensive!

Delightful surroundings, and excellent careful service. Great location for the Royal Albert Hall too.

Food was excellent - my starter of chicken liver parfait was perfect, and the Brixham Plaice dish was a superb mixture of flavours from an unusual combination of ingredients.

Downsides ? Well - delivery of food from the kitchen was a bit slow:and the set menu quite pricey (nearly £130 for 3, including drinks , (but no alcohol), and service charge but a lovely meal nevertheless
